Ask These Questions Before Sending Your Child to Camp
Sending your child to camp is a big deal and you should have the answers to these questions before making a decision.
What is the ratio of staff to campers?
What are the qualifications of staff members?
What is the return rate of campers?
What are the camp's emergency procedures?
Is the camp accredited by the American Camping Association?
What are the values of camp?
Is there a Health Office (nurse or doctor) on site?
Is the food well balanced, nutritious and plentiful?
Are the activities age-appropriate, varied and progressive?
Are the facilities clean and well-maintained?
