Register Online for Summer Camp 2010

Refer A Friend and Receive $25 off Your Overnight Camp Fee

Save on your camp registration fee by referring friends to overnight camp. Refer a NEW camper and you will get $25 off your registration fee for each NEW Camper that registers for Overnight Camp Ihduhapi. You and your friend(s) must be registered by May 3, 2010. The credit will be applied to your camp registration fee. Credit cannot be applied to transportation. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please provide your camp referral name at the bottom of the registration form. If you have more than one referral, write their name on the back of the form. Refer a friend promotion ends May 3, 2010.

Now Hiring FT Maintenance Technician

Full Time Maintenance Technician

Location: Loretto, MN (Camp Ihduhapi - 3425 Ihduhapi Rd) P: 763-479-1146

Under the direction of the Building Superintendent, the Maintenance Tech is responsible for all the maintenance of building equipment and property as well as maintaining the facility in a clean and sanitary condition.

2.      Essential Functions:

  • Perform daily maintenance rounds and pool checks and report problems to building superintendent.
  • Duties may include, but are not limited to, painting walls and ceilings, Equipment cleaning, carpets, conducting minor electrical and plumbing repairs, exercise equipment maintenance, and assisting with the general cleaning of the facility.
  • Maintain Preventative Maintenance records, pool checks, and boiler checks.
  • Respond to daily maintenance needs of other departments as necessary.
  • Carry a pager during shift to respond to emergency situations.
  • Enforce and maintain building security during shift.
  • Attend all necessary training opportunities.

3.      Relationships:

The incumbent works with member service staff to respond to members concerns regarding maintenance issues. A close relationship between the incumbent and the association exists to ensure that facilities are kept clean, attractive, and operational.

4.  Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in janitorial or facility maintenance field
  • Experience in cleaning methods, cleaning equipment, pool operation, plumbing, heating (electrical and pneumatic) and temperature controls
  • Strong communication skills

6.         Physical Demands:

  • Move 50-75 pound quantities of material 4-5 times a week.
  • Move 30 pounds of project materials and/or tools to remote building locations up to 200 feet away 10-15 times a day.
  • Erect and stand on scaffolding, ladders, and platforms 3-4 times a week.
  • Work at heights up to 30 feet for extended periods of time 3-4 times a week.
  • Work with paint, cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms.
  • Ability to paint and clean equipment as needed.
  • Work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.
  • Perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may include, but not limited to the following activities: semi – reaching to full-reach overhead, couching, kneeling, working in narrow and/or confining spaces underground, overhead, and at ground level, twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs, lying on stomach and/or back, and shoveling snow.
  • Safely operate cleaning equipment: auto scrubber, buffer, snow blower, sweeper, trash compactor, genie lift, pressure washer, box compactor, hand, and power tools.

The incumbent is responsible for taking direction from their supervisor and the Branch Executive in completing projects or performing duties deemed necessary for the branch or Association Success.

2010 Y Partner's Campaign

Donate to help send kids to YMCA Camp Ihduhapi in 2010.  This annual campaign helps bring kids to camp that would not be able to experience the fun, values, and traditional of YMCA Camp Ihduhapi without assistance.  In 2009 Camp Ihduhapi brought 221 kids to camp on scholarship.
